Owned and operated by Atlanta’s homegrown, home-town committed hospitality group, Fifth Group Restaurants, Ecco is a nationally renowned and recognized restaurant. In fact, upon opening in 2006, it was named “A Best New Restaurant in America” by Esquire, is consistently rated one of the top 50 restaurants by Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and the building’s refreshment from the city’s Social Security office and Atlanta Fencing Club was recognized with an award from the Atlanta Urban Design Commission.
The restaurant serves dinner nightly (the bar opens daily at 4pm with a limited menu) including award-winning Old World and New World wine lists, with many selections exclusive to Ecco. Private and group dining is available for large and small corporate and social events. Conveniently located in the heart of midtown Atlanta, Ecco is perfect for a quick bite and drinks before or after a show at The Fox Theatre.
Executive Chef Brent Banda
Executive Chef Brent Banda oversees menu planning, creation and management at Fifth Group’s award-winning, European-inspired concept in the heart of Midtown. Banda elevates Ecco’s offerings by rolling out seasonal dishes on an ongoing basis, while also continuing to execute Ecco favorites such as the fried goat cheese balls and wood-fired flatbreads.
Prior to joining the team at Ecco, Banda served as executive chef at the restaurant group’s Midtown seafood concept, Lure, for over two years. An integral part of Fifth Group Restaurants’ culinary team since early 2004, Banda has also served as sous chef and executive chef at La Tavola Trattoria, following a successful turn as sous chef at The Food Studio, a venue now utilized as an event space for Bold Catering & Design.
